Madras Cricket Club lifts the UCAL-TNTA Chennai Inter-Club Mixed Doubles
League-Cum-Knockout Championship 2019 Title for the fourth time

In the finals of the UCAL-TNTA Chennai Inter-Club Mixed Doubles League-Cum-Knockout Championship, probably the only mixed doubles event in the country, played at the Madras Cricket Club (MCC) courts, Mohd. Fariz and Sai Samhitha edged out last years winners, Nungambakkam Tennis Club 'B' (NTC) represented by Sai Avanthika and Madhankumar. MCC started the match in full flow winning the first set 6-1. NTC picked up their game in the second set. The MCC pair also made a number of unforced errors. Thus NTC won the second set 6-3. In the final set both pairs played exciting, tactical tennis and held their serve till 5 all. The MCC pair then broke Sai Avanthika's serve after two deuces, to go ahead 6-5. Sai Samhitha then held her serve with the help of crisp volleys by Mohd. Fariz to close out the game and win the third set 7-5 and the match.

Mr. M. Sivaramakrishnan, UCAL Group and Ms. Lakshmi Mahadevan, former Asian Champion gave away the prizes. The Winners received Rs. 10,000/- and Runners up Rs. 5,000/-.
